We had a four-course lunch menu, and the portions were generous. Loved the main and middle courses! Looking forward to seeing improved appetizers and desserts next time. The servers all had brilliant smiles and provided excellent service. The weather was lovely when we visited, but it might get a bit too sunny on a scorching day.

Beautiful rooftop bar in Hong Kong. Incredibly expensive and small pours but an unbeatable view of the city. A must if you have visitors.

Of the many events we host in Hong Kong, this was our first time working with the team at Popinjays. At The Ortus Club, we coordinate numerous bespoke corporate functions annually, and we found The Aviary Room to be a fantastic space for an executive luncheon. The floor-to-ceiling windows filled the room with natural light, making our session feel more awake, which was a great change of pace for our guests. The food presentation was excellent and definitely added a touch of prestige, ensuring the professional atmosphere was maintained throughout the meal. We often plan events for finance and legal sector clients who often go to and from their offices to secluded function rooms, so our team at Ortus found that having exclusive access to the Aviary terrace was a standout feature, offering a sophisticated backdrop and the privacy our guests truly appreciate. One honest bit of feedback for those planning C-suite meetings in Central: since the room is situated right beside the main dining area, a fair amount of noise does bleed through; something to note for those who require a completely silent private room for sensitive discussions. Another suggestion would be to have a bit more presence from the onsite staff during the setup phase to ensure any quick changes are addressed smoothly before guests arrive. Overall, it was a good first experience with the team. Thank you, Popinjays! We look forward to hosting more events at this venue in the future.

We came here for a Birthday brunch. It's a nicely set up restaurant with great views over HK. The food was very good, especially the oysters, caviar and the cod. Service in general was excellent, though it could be a little slow with the drink refills and they did manage to give me a vodka soda at the end instead of the g&t I had been drinking during the dinner. A minor issue that wasn't wasted.

Our family has a tradition of celebrating Christmas at a fine dining restaurant each year,m and this time we chose Popinjays. It’s our first visit and we all enjoyed it so much. We all rated it the best Xmas meals and Italian cuisine we have eaten over the years. All the food was amazing and beautifully presented. My personal favorite was the tomato pasta, simple, elegant, and absolutely delicious. The ambiance was just as memorable. With a breathtaking night view and a warm, festive atmosphere, the setting was perfect for a holiday celebration. The live DJ and musician added a vibrant energy to the evening, and the dancer’s performance was a true highlight. Overall, we were all very satisfied with our evening at Popinjays. I have seen mixed reviewed about the food in here, I hope they can uphold the high standard as we are already looking forward to the next visit.

Popinjays is a gem perched high above the city, offering not only breathtaking views but also an exceptional dining experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt refined yet welcoming. The service was consistently attentive without being intrusive, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and warmth. A special mention must go to Rital, whose gracious demeanor elevated the evening. Rital’s intuitive sense of hospitality made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another diner. Her presence added a personal touch that transformed the meal into a memorable occasion.

I am delighted to have the experience of eating in this restaurant. Food was amazing, and there is quite a large variety to try in each course! The food is definitely worth the price, and I would say it’s even a steal with the quality and freshness of the seafood that was served. (the quantity of food I got was a lot too!) Additionally, The service was just impeccable! I was frequently asked how I was feeling about the food, and each course was served promptly. In addition to this, refills for fruits and pancakes and such did not cost anything, which I appreciated. I would definitely come back for another amazing fine-dining experience. The music was also fantastic. Kudos to the DJ! The view was fantastic too! TLDR: I am highly impressed with this restaurant. Note: I ordered the disco brunch course
