We had a wonderful stay at the Fifth Avenue Hotel! The welcome was incredibly warm, and the overall service was outstanding. The staff always greeted us with a friendly smile, which made us feel very welcome right away. The rooms are spacious, modernly furnished, and spotlessly clean. We also really enjoyed the breakfast – it is very good and offers a great variety of delicious Malaysian specialties as well as Western food. The hotel pool is well-maintained and a perfect spot to relax. We would love to come back! Highly recommended.

Highly recommended to stay here is you are in Penang. New and comfortable. My room was spacious, it comes with a small patio with dining table and kitchenette including a microwave and water filter ( real plus point). The bathroom area is clean and generous in terms of of space. The mattress is super comfortable which made us slept well. Services from the staff were good, from check in till check out, always helpful and courteous. Location is great, walking distance to a few famous tourist spots eg Hin bus depot , famous hawker food ( Cecil Market). Buffet breakfast was good and above average, though there is still room for improvement for the varieties of food. Suggestion to provide more Penang local delicacies. Overall very satisfactory stay for family holiday

I had an excellent stay at this five-star hotel. The room was spacious, spotless, beautifully designed, and truly luxurious. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and every detail was well maintained, making my stay relaxing and enjoyable. The location is another big advantage. It's within walking distance of First Avenue Mall and surrounded by plenty of great local food options, cafés, and convenience stores. Popular spots like Komtar, Chowrasta Market, and many famous Penang street food stalls are also nearby, making it easy to explore George Town on foot. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Penang.

Spacious and modern rooms. The lobby was very nice with lots of nice sitting areas with very large windows and really good views. The rooftop infinity pool was amazing which also had a bar to order drinks and food. Breakfast was good. Walkable distance to the centre of Georgetown, the jetties and the esplanade. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Always greeted by the bellboys who rush to grab your luggage so you dont carry it. And bedrooms are exactly like what the hotel have posted. Reasonably priced and definately worth the stay.

I loved this hotel! Luxury but affordable. The bathroom was huges with separate shower toilet and sink compartments. The floor to ceiling windows were great. There were multiple lifts so you never had to wait. The pool was lovely. My only feedback would be to include robes(they give you slippers) and a soap dish for the bar of soap

Fifth Avenue Hotel is located in a great location being 5-10 mins walk or drive from many eateries/spots to explore. The structure is a little strange considering its lobby is on the 6th floor, so the ground floor foyer area is not air-conditioned. It is clear that ample thought and effort was put in designing the hotel and making it look and feel luxurious, but somehow it lands midway and has that “nouveau riche” vibe. That said, there was nothing to fault with, the room was spacious and comfortable by itself plus it had a relatively roomy dressing area AND a kitchenette complete with a dining table! Perfect for those who want to enjoy the best of Penang’s street food without dining in the heat, filtered water is provided in every room via a specific spout. Air-conditioning worked well, water pressure and temperature were great. There are a few eateries just downstairs as well a 7-11 so this was very handy. Service could be better, it was a little slow during check in, check out was efficient. The free buffet breakfast was better than expected with a wide variety of items. The gym is great, very clean and new with good ventilation (does not smell of sweat), cold water was provided, equipment well-maintained. Room could have come with bathrobes considering it markets itself as a 5-star hotel. Overall, nothing quite to complain about, but also falls shy of what I expect from a 5-star hotel.
