A rooftop bar in Ho Chi Minh City that you absolutely must visit! The view is simply amazing. It's an open space overlooking the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, where you can enjoy live band music while admiring the night view. There are old photographs displayed throughout the bar, and when I looked them up, I discovered that this place is deeply connected to the history of the Vietnam War. At the time, the Caravelle Hotel housed branch offices of foreign media, and many foreign journalists reported from here to the world about the situation in Saigon. When I watched videos about the history of the Vietnam War on YouTube after returning from my trip, I was deeply moved to realize, "Journalists were actually in that place!" It's not just a place to enjoy the night view; it's a special place where you can feel the history of Ho Chi Minh City, and I think it will leave a lasting impression. Definitely go!

When I tried to go, it was closed for renovations. I checked on ChatGTP and it seems they'll be closed from May 18, 2026.

An OK bar. Nothing special, spectacular. The interior is simple, banal. The view from the terrace is quite beautiful. The prices are high, compared to other bars. Here I drank the most expensive beer in Vietnam. Friendly staff. You can pay by card.

★★★★☆ | Great value happy hour with a view Saigon Saigon Rooftop Bar really impressed us during happy hour. For £30 we had 4 cocktails and 2 beers, which is excellent value considering the rooftop setting and central location. The cocktails were well made, not watered down, and there was a good range to choose from. The atmosphere is relaxed but lively, with great views that make it a perfect spot for early evening drinks. Service was friendly and fairly quick, even though it was busy. We stopped here at the urging of our local guide. We attics on a Saturday night at 9 PM, and were the first group to be sat outside. (It is indoor/outdoor rooftop bar). There was live Cuban music playing [excellent]. We ordered drinks and food and enjoyed the music. By 10 pm, the outdoor area was completely full. Food was a mixed experience. I ordered the club sandwich and it was awesome. A travel mate ordered (what she thought) was nachos - which turned out to be a bowl of Domino's and a side of guacamole. By 10 pm, people were dancing. Glad we stopped here.
