During my stay at W Taipei, I made a point of visiting YEN Bar on the 31st floor for a relaxing drink in the evening. I had previously visited for work in the afternoon and was impressed by the ambiance, so I was determined to try it out this time. It certainly didn't disappoint. Located on the 31st floor, YEN Bar's high floor makes the night view one of its biggest highlights. Through the large floor-to-ceiling windows, you can enjoy panoramic views of Taipei's bustling cityscape. The glittering lights of the night, combined with soothing music, create a truly relaxing and sophisticated atmosphere. I ordered a carefully crafted cocktail and some snacks, enjoying the view and a pleasant buzz, instantly relieving the fatigue of a busy day. What surprised me most that evening was the service. The staff thoughtfully arranged a private room for me, providing better privacy and making the overall experience more comfortable and relaxed. From seating and ordering to the details of service, I felt the professionalism and enthusiasm typical of a five-star hotel. Overall, YEN Bar is more than just a place to drink; it's a space to slow down and enjoy life. The stunning night views, delicious cocktails, delicate snacks, and attentive service make for a truly perfect evening. If you have the chance to stay at W Taipei, I highly recommend making time to visit YEN Bar in the evening. I'm sure you'll fall in love with the captivating charm of Taipei's nightlife. 🍸✨🏙️

good for just the view, and the service. but not the bar if u expect anything other than bottled beer or wine. they should remodel the decoration, find more differentiation ftom the lobby bar to not waste this location

I did my research before visiting this bar. Located on the 31st floor, I specifically requested a table near Taipei 101. The view was absolutely stunning, but I highly recommend booking a month in advance to secure your preferred spot. Regarding the food, I based my search on online reviews. Both the drinks and the food seemed decent. The staff mentioned that the dishes were meant to accompany drinks, so the portions weren't extravagant. Ordering according to the situation is advisable. We booked for 8 PM, and the weather was perfect, so the view from the Taipei 101 side was exceptional. We noticed that the bar's lighting dimmed slightly later, but the soothing background music and drinks created a fantastic atmosphere. Aside from the comfortable and pleasant dining experience, I can't think of any downsides. If you're with the right people, everything is perfect. The price is a bit high, but the night view is superb, and the experience is fantastic. If you don't have a budget constraint, it's definitely worth experiencing. Finally, advance booking is highly recommended!

We ended up there for the New Year countdown because it was raining, and the weather wasn’t ideal for standing outside for a long time waiting for the fireworks. It turned out to be one of the best decisions we made during the trip. The vibe was great and cozy, and the service was amazing - very attentive without ever feeling overbearing. I was looked after by a waitress named Emma, who made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. Stanley was also very friendly and talkative, and it was really nice chatting with him.

We got scammed for NYE countdown. W YEN Bar has a NYE countdown event. We had 6 people and bought “standing tickets” that cost $3,000NTD per person with 2 drinks. We then had two more friends join and we called 3 times corresponding with Ms.Ji. She outright told us all standing tickets are sold out and if we want to fit everybody we have to buy a table / lounge box with minimum spend of $40,000NTD. We even called the day before to see if any standing tickets were canceled and she said no. Given we didn’t want to leave our friends behind, we begrudgingly agreed to lounge. 12/31/25: We arrived at 9pm like they suggested and it was absolutely DEAD. Barely anyone there and no music. We came across a woman who said she got a standing ticket last minute. Picture above is at 11pm - barely anyone and clearly there is A LOT of standing room. By countdown, room was the same - barely 50% full. Music literally went on for 1.5 hours early - can you imagine a bar on countdown quiet until 11pm? Not even background music? Are you really a bar? We absolutely got lied to and scammed. We get it you want to sell lounges but a business should not outright deceive like this. We ultimately argued and got our minimum spend down but it was a terrible experience - will not come back even if ticket was free. By the way, by the end of the night, it was not only us desperately trying to hit minimum spend. Another couple from Texas literally had to buy and pack 2 bottles to go. The manager claimed people canceled last minute due to rain - never say never but I personally believe super unlikely 50+ people collectively canceled the day of. Lastly, crowd skews older and mostly non-Asians. You are better off on the streets or if you are young please go elsewhere (eg Barcode super vibey).

Great experience at the bar on the 31st floor. First, the location is unbeatable. Ordered a mocktail and a gin and tonic and would especially recommend their mocktails. Service was great as well: we noted that their snacks were good and were immediately given another serving with another two packs to take home. Had to write a good review.

It’s a nice bar with a view on Taipei 101 tower and the city. Good signature cocktails and snacks. There are wine, liquors and strong alcoholic spirits as well. After 6pm you can also order a food from the main restaurant. Service 10% is included into the check. Free wi-fi.
